Post subject:  Tutorial for GFX Fonts

I tried to make my own GFX font last night but for some reason it doesn't work. I read through this forum and came across multiple references to the "GFX Font Tutorial" but I could not find anything related to a tutorial in either the help files that came with FBA or in this forum. In the help files, it says:

"Load a graphical font using specified image.
The image have to be in gfx-font format, with first line
as chars delimiters.
See tutorials for more info."

So, can anyone shed some light on these tutorials and the gfx-font format?

Thanks.

Here is the jpg of my attempt.

ha ha. Yeah. I'm trying to make the smallest font readable on a standard 240x320 screen. I think I may have made it too small from the looks of it.
But anyway, I don't know because I can't get it load and display with the loadgfxfont. Is there some trick? BTW, I used paint.net to create the image.

thanks.

I didn't try, but it may be related to blending/smoothing the paint progam applied to jpeg file.
First line delimitators have to be a 'perfect' white color :D
Also, jpeg is a lossy format and saving it with lot compression could round some colors and break transparency, trying to save font in .PNG format and avoid blending on transparent color, while creating images with your paint program.
(I'm at work not, and I can't try your gfx file and/or clean it :))

Don't worry about it. Your suggestion to save it as a PNG file worked. Thanks.
