Im making a simple but useful screen lock app for my QTek S110 with Windows Mobile 2003 SE...
I've got everything working, but one thing should be GREAT in this type of app, turning the backlight off when starting it, turning it on again when shutting it down...

Any functions to handle backlight?

BTW: New here... Found FBA after trying PLL (which just messed up my PPC) and I've found this IDE very usefull! Love it!

Mmmh no..there isn't a way to accomplish that
Actually FBA framework resets system inactivity timer once a while; this should always turn on the backlight..
Can I ask why do you need to turn off the backlight btw? :)

I dont want it to use up all the battery power...
This app is like a replacement for the QTek S110 "key lock" that turns the device in a kind of sleep mode...
And as I use it to play music (using headset) I would love to be able to put it in my pocket :P

Does your backlight stay always on with FBA running on your PPC, even if you don't click anything?

I don't remember if turning backlight on is the default behaviour for PocketHAL graphic library (which is used by FBA) or it isn't...
I'll check that btw.

I'll check a way to optionally call the SystemIdleTimerReset inside FBA framework, maybe turning this off can keep the backlight off.

Unfortunately the SystemIdleTimerReset implementation may be different on each PPC, for example on my MyPal A636, after a few seconds i don't click anything, backlight will turn off (even if there's the SystemIdleTimerReset call in the framework..)

I'm not sure if something similar is done inside PocketHAL (for examle, as far i know, the Symbian Serie 60 version of PocketHAL, always reset the system idle timer, for technical reasons..), in this case, because it'is distribuited in binary form by its author, there isn't nothing i can do ;)
